Telnase general information
What is Telnase used for?
Telnase nasal spray is used in the treatment and prevention of allergic rhinitis caused by seasonal allergy to pollen, also known as hay fever, and perennial allergy to year-round allergens such as animal fur, mould and house dust mites. Telnase nasal spray relieves symptoms of allergic rhinitis including nasal congestion, runny itchy nose, sneezing, itchy, red, puffy, watering eyes, and also improves night sleep and daytime alertness during a bout of allergic rhinitis.
How does Telnase work?
Telnase nasal spray contains triamcinolone acetonide, which is a potent corticosteroid and anti-inflammatory medication that controls local inflammation in the nasal passages caused by an allergic reaction to allergens like pollen or house dust mite. Triamcinolone in Telnase nasal spray blocks the production of inflammatory chemicals, like prostaglandins, and reduces signs of inflammation, like mucus production, swelling and irritation, which helps relieve symptoms like runny itchy nose, nasal congestion and sneezing.
